is it just me, or is a significant proportion of our "blogosphere" in the midst of significant transitions right now? Emily just got back from what I can only guess was an amazing trip to the U.K., Angy is almost done in the E.U., Brenna's about to leave the 'Dale and move in with Angy, Kara's about to move in with Tessa and her roommate Kathryn (which means Emily is also in the middle of a move), and Heather's recently returned to her native town! life is so interesting. we've all entered HC in one form or another with intentions in mind, and have left in so many different directions. God's working in our lives is so fascinating. :)
Katie B. and Meg, I'm assuming, are getting ready to gear up for their last few weeks of *freedom*, which includes me as well. so, joining the trend, I'm preparing for this road trip. countdown: two days, leaving Sunday morning. I'm going to do some serious packing tomorrow morning.
this morning, however, was a bit crazier. the roomies all decided to have our annual carpet-cleaning this week and managed to get in on a cancellation for them to come this morning. so I had to move everything out of my room and our house was in a bit of a state of chaos this morning. it was kinda crazy because it was almost like moving, but not at all like moving. this evening I got home (after finally finding a sundress!) and commenced putting my room back in order. now I'm waiting for my roommate's boyfriend to help me get a few of the heavier things in place.
because of this opportunity, I was able to rearrange some of my furniture. I think it looks pretty nice now, though I realize that I am in desparate need for a dresser. I'll be looking on craigslist once I return to TX. for now, it can wait.
today I talked to the Grad School secretary a bit about how the last year has gone. even this summer has been pretty significant. at the beginning I couldn't wait to just be done and outta Texas, but now I'm actually thinking of looking into staying in the area. isn't it great to have no direction? sure, we like plans, and we like to think of the future, but if anything this past year has taught me to be more flexible and let God do the work. it's great. :)
anyway, enough preaching, I better get back to work so I can go to bed early and gear up for my trip! please please look me up on facebook or e-mail me if you want to get together in the Midwest!!
loves :)

Hey...a little shoe shoes up next to my blog update on the right. And Heather's shows a squash...haha!
Yes, a couple more weeks of freedom.
I am glad that you're enjoying Texas!
Yay! Sundresses are wholly underrated in the north. I hope you enjoy yours in the south! :D
